Show the outcome first, then the software that produced it.
Turnaround 20–28h
- 01The structure is fixed: the problem, the state before, the change, the result, the ask. Somebody who leaves at thirty seconds still got the point.
- 02Screen recordings are captured at twice the delivery resolution and scaled down, so UI text is still legible on a phone.
- 03The cursor is animated rather than recorded — real mouse movement is jittery and reads as amateur on a demo.
- 04Zooms and callouts direct the eye to the one control that matters, because a full-screen interface is unreadable at feed size.
Completion on a product demo falls off sharply past a minute, which makes sixty to ninety seconds the working length for a homepage, and the first ten seconds decide whether the rest gets watched at all. The failure mode is a feature tour, a list of what the software can do, in the order the product team built it, answering nobody’s question. Leading with the outcome makes the features arrive as explanations instead of claims.
